According to The Baltic Times, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linkevicius is scheduled to meet with Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif; Economy and Finance Minister Ali Tayebnia; Science, Research and Technology Minister Mohammad Farhadi; Communications and Information Technologies Minister Mahmoud Vaezi; as well as Mohsen Jalalpour, president of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
On his three-day visit, Linkevicius is also slated to hold meetings with ministers for energy and agriculture and parliamentary leaders. The two sides will also take part in a Lithuanian business seminar organized jointly with Iran's Chamber of Commerce.
The Lithuanian delegation will confer with senior Iranian officials on bolstering economic, trade, and cultural cooperation, and sign a number of MoUs.
Regional and international security, fight against terrorism and immigration crisis are other topics of discussion to be raised during the meetings.
The Lithuanian top diplomat is being accompanied by Deputy Energy Minister Aleksandras Spruogis and a business delegation led by Rimantas Sidlauskas, head of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.
